FIRE EXTINGUISHER SYSTEM AND SMOKE PROTECTION
· Tekfen Tower is protected by central protection system according to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Fire Regulations, NFPA (American National Fire Protection Association) standards and UL and various international insurance companies rules. · There are pipe connection outlets and hydrants at the building entrances for local fire department. · Due to the most deaths caused by the smoke, building is equipped with smoke control system according to NFPA 92-4. · All fire escape stairways are pressured against to smoke flow in the case of the fire. · The floor where fire started is ventilated by air-conditioning for safe escape. · During the earthquake, the fire extinguisher system would be automatically in operation effectively. · Natural gas supply system would be cut off by automatic valve during earthquake |
